Dale’s passion for the building and fencing industry started at the early age of 19 when he came to work for Dutch Way Builders. Within only a few months, Dale had worked his way into a management position. Soon after, in 2000, he became a part owner, eventually becoming the sole owner of Dutch Way, LLC in 2012. He prides himself on the family business he has helped to build and strives to provide a quality environment so employees can enjoy their lives outside of work. He recognizes the importance of being flexible and adaptable to every problem thrown his way, letting stress roll off his back and working toward a solution. Dale’s rich experience along with his desire to solve every customer’s unique fencing problem makes him a strong leader of the Dutch Way team.
James is an expert in the fencing industry, coming onboard in 2001 soon after his cousin, Dale, became a partner of Dutch Way, LLC. His typical day involves meeting with prospective clients to provide fencing or railing solutions that work with the style and layout of their home. One of his favorite parts of the job is meeting customers and getting to know their story on a personal level. Not only does James offer decades of experience in the industry, but he also completed the American Fence Association’s Sales Training School, a two-day training that builds on the fundamentals of the buying and selling process. James works to provide attractive, low maintenance, and on-budget products. When he isn’t assisting customers, you’ll find James spending time with his family, backpacking, or even bikepacking—an adventurous activity involving multiday mountain biking, camping, and sightseeing.
Stacey is a true utilitarian, helping his team and clients find practical solutions for their fencing needs.. He has a hand in almost every step of the process, from providing estimates to assisting with fabrication. He joined the team at Dutch Way in 2004 and worked as an installer for the first 15 years. In his current role, Stacey assists customers in the planning phase of their job, helping select a style, color, and material that suits their budget and unique sensibilities. He gets great fulfillment out of building personal relationships with customers and takes pride in the quality product and installation from Dutch Way. Outside of work, Stacey is an avid saltwater fisherman, often traveling to the Chesapeake Bay in his spare time. You may also find him at a BBQ with his family or hunting on the weekend.
Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. After decades of holding management positions with other area businesses, he joined Dutch Way as the Location Manager in 2003 when they opened their second location in Stuarts Draft. Mark is the face that greets customers when they walk in the door and ensures that every fencing job is of the highest quality. He prides himself on the large base of contractors he has partnered with over the years, and he hopes to continue growing these relationships. Outside of the office, you’ll find Mark spending time with his young grandson or gardening. One of his favorite pastimes is hunting, and he enjoys taking annual trips around the country during hunting season.
William joined the Dutch Way team in June 2018 and serves customers from the Mount Crawford office as part of the inside sales team. Prior to joining Dutch Way, he worked in construction, lawn care and as a brewery bartender, helping him develop an ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
In his role, William assists customers with scheduling and sales while working to ensure they feel supported throughout the process. He enjoys helping customers find solutions to their fencing needs and takes pride in providing attentive service that leaves them feeling cared for and satisfied.
Outside of work, William enjoys fishing, hiking, reading, attending concerts and exploring new cities and destinations. His willingness to learn and dedication to customer service make him a valued member of the Dutch Way team.
Jefferson joined the Dutch Way team in April 2015 and serves as the Shop Manager, overseeing shop operations while working closely with customers to help bring their projects to life.
Jefferson takes pride in guiding customers, answering questions and helping them find practical solutions to any challenges they may encounter. By focusing on quality craftsmanship, timely production and customer support, he helps make fencing and outdoor projects more manageable and successful for customers who choose to tackle them themselves.
When he’s not at work, Jefferson enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is also dedicated to serving his community through volunteer work with his local fire department. His commitment to customer success and quality workmanship makes him a valued member of the Dutch Way team.

Dutch Way visits the site of your project to measure and discuss options. We provide samples to help with your product selection.
Following the onsite consult, we provide an estimate for your project. We ask for a 25% deposit upon acceptance of our proposal.
We meet with you on the morning of your install to confirm the details of the installation. Then our crew takes it from there.
